Ingredients

For the Stir-Fry:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 1 head green cabbage, chopped

  • ½ cup chopped onion

  • ½ cup chopped carrots

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

For the Sauce & Marinade:

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • ¼ cup chicken broth

  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

  • 2 tbsp water

  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

1️⃣ Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, chicken broth, cornstarch, water, ginger, garlic powder, and black pepper. Add the chicken and stir to coat well. Set aside to marinate while preparing the vegetables.

2️⃣ Cook the Chicken

Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5–6 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

3️⃣ Stir-Fry the Vegetables

In the same pan, add the cabbage, onions, and carrots. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until the veggies are tender but still crisp.

4️⃣ Combine and Finish

Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for 2 more minutes until everything is heated through and coated in sauce.

🍚 Serve

Serve hot over steamed rice, noodles, or on its own. Optional garnishes include sesame seeds or chopped scallions.
